Kindergarten Graduation

Today was Sydney's Kindergarten Graduation.  She dressed up as a farmer for her part.  She did such a good job.  She has learned so much this last year.  We are so proud of her.  We couldn't have found a better teacher than Mrs. Wall.  Sydney has adored her.  I can't believe it is over already.  (Didn't I just graduate from Kindergarten..... except that I don't think there was a Kindergarten "graduation" when I was there so I guess I'm older than I think....)

Kindergarten Graduation

Sydney with her best friends, Emily and Josie.  They are such cute girls.  Sydney has loved going to school, church and living by these two.  I'm pretty sure by next year they will rule the entire East Meadows Playground.

Syd's First T-ball game

Sydney's first T-ball game was last night.  It was so much fun.  I am the assistant coach to the Mighty Unicorns.  (I tried to warn Annalyse I was clueless, but she probably didn't realize how much.)  But it has been a lot of fun.  The girls are so cute.  Half the time their mitts are on the wrong hand and they all run like a swarm of bees to the ball so no one is left standing at any base. We haven't had anyone run the wrong way yet, but I'm anxiously waiting.

Luke's Broken Leg??

We took the kids to Jump on It for Luke's Birthday.  What were we thinking?  Our family can hardly walk on the ground without falling down.  But for some reason I figured they could handle balancing on giant balls of air.  I'm brilliant?  First time down the slide (even with dad) Luke came off limping.  If was the saddest thing I've ever seen.  He spent the rest of the night snuggled on my lap and wouldn't move.  Meanwhile Sydney came over 3 more times with a hurt wrist, a hurt ankle and hurt leg.  That night we went home and put Luke to bed with some Motrin.  The next morning he woke up and wouldn't put any weight on it at all.  We decided we better take him to be x-rayed.  After a few hours at the hospital, 9 x-ray's, and 12,000 tears later they found no break.  He spent his birthday party crawling around and playing hoop and hitting the t-ball from the sitting position.  It was pitiful.  Finally now 4 days after the event he has at least started to attempt limping again which we are hoping is a good sign.

My baby boy

My baby boy turned two this last week which I guess officially means I can't call him a baby anymore, which breaks my heart.  He is growing up so fast and I'm already so baby hungry again.   He has spoiled me.  He has been such a good baby.  He is so much fun.  His little personality just makes me laugh.  And I have to be honest I love that he is a big "mama's boy."  Sometimes it's inconvenient that I can't get three inches from him at nursery or leaving him for a date takes a well contrived game of hide and seek and while I'm typing this delete is the key I'm using most to erase his additions.  I love that I get to be the one to fix his hurts and the one he asks for first thing in the morning.  That his new favorite sentence is "mama, sit here" while he taps the seat next to him.  Since the first day he came into my life he has been a bright light and I will always think of him that way.  The light of my life.  Happy 2nd Birthday Luke!  We love you very much.  Hopefully it will get easier to let them both grow up.  I just feel like it is happening so fast.
